Last updated: July 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The SmartBar Foundation (“SmartBar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information — such as your name, email address, and country, provided when you register.
  • Authentication data — credentials and session tokens used to keep you signed in.
  • Donation information — processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We receive confirmation of your donation but do not store your full payment card details.
  • Application data — information and documents you submit when applying as a Coach, Ambassador, or Manufacturer.
  • Usage and device data — analytics about how you interact with the Service, collected via cookies and analytics tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • To process donations and manage memberships;
  • To review applications and manage the verified partner directory;
  • To communicate with you (for example, email verification, password resets, donation receipts, and status notifications);
  • To ensure security and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law requires, we process your information on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating the Service, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service, including:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage;
  • Stripe — payment and donation processing;
  • SendGrid — transactional email delivery;
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting and media storage;
  • Google Analytics and Firebase — usage analytics and crash reporting.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage) to keep you signed in and to understand how the Service is used. We use analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Firebase Analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect certain features.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase and AWS). We use encryption in transit, access controls, and per-user data isolation to help protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and comply with our legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection.
